Die Touristenpolizei hat in vielen Orten sogar deutschsprachige Helfer, oder sie sprechen zumindest englisch.

Diese Polizeiabteilung ist fuer die Belange der Touristen ausgebildet worden.

Mit dem Wachstum des Tourismus in den letzten 30 Jahren wurde eine spezielle Einheit von der Royal Thai Police geschaffen, um fuer die Sicherheit und das Wohlergehen der Touristen zu sorgen. Die Beamten der Tourist Police tragen ein besonderes Abzeichen auf dem Arm und sprechen Englisch sowie einige andere europaeischen Sprachen. Sie koennen in allen Situationen angerufen werden, wie etwa Verkehrsunfaelle, Diebstahl, Streitigkeiten mit Hotels oder Shopeigentuemer, wenn auslaendische Touristen beteiligt sind. Sie werden als Schiedsrichter bei Streitigkeiten gerufen und in unsere Erfahrung machen sie das in einer unvoreingenommener Weise.

With the growth of tourism over the last 30 years a special unit has been set up by the Royal Thai Police force to deal with the safety and well-being of tourists. The officers of the Tourist Police wear a distinctive badge on the their arm and speak english and some other european languages. They can be called upon in all kinds of situations, such as road traffic accidents, theft, disputes with hotels or shop keepers where a foreign tourist is involved. They will act as arbitrators on disputes, and in our experience they do so in an unbiased fashion.
